She passed away from a terrible accident early one morning.

Although she was here for only four and a half months she did a lot of good with her life, her heart is still beating in another four month old baby, her liver went to an 18 month old baby and her kidneys went to a 28 yr. old school teacher. She also brought true happiness to everyone who knew her. She was an Angel on earth as she is in Heaven. God bless you sweet Joanna.

She was the happiness in her parents lives. Her mommy loved taking care of her and doing all she could to make her happy, comfortable, and content. She would stand by her crib and just watch her play with her Hello Kitty, favorite rattle, first baby-doll or watch her looking at herself in her crib mirror. Her mommy never tired of watching her. Her daddy could hardly wait to come home from work to see his little stinky,(the soy formula had a strong smell) he loved how she would rub his chin with her little hand or hold on to his finger. She always had a smile for him.
We loved it when she would stretch a certain way, she would curl her little arms up by her face, bend her legs, arch her back, pucker up her sweet lips and stretch. We would pick her up and kiss those sweet little lips every time she did this. It was the sweetest kisses.
When she wanted mommy to hold her she would start making fussing sounds and then she would say mmmmooommm, then if I didnt pick her up quick enough she would make her little chin quiver.
One time her oldest sister Sandra and I were watching her play with her crib mirror, she couldnt reach the top toy with her hands so she used her feet to play with it.
She was the happiest baby, hardly ever cried, only fussed a little when she was hungry or wet. Although on one occasion she let her mommy know she was very unhappy with her for letting big sissy hold her when she was only wanting mommies arms.
She enjoyed holding the telephone listening to two of her older sisters, Andrea and Kellie talk to her. (They live four hours away) She also liked to hear her abuelas (grandmother in Mexico) voice over the phone. She would always respond with sweet noises.
She was also a very smart baby. She could say momma at two months old, repeat sounds, play peek a boo by covering her face with her blanket and then uncovering it very fast over and over. One time as she was looking in her mirror I (mommy) was taking her picture, one showing the back of her beautiful head and at the same time it would show the front of her face reflected in the mirror, well she saw me through the mirror and while looking at me in the mirror she reached up behind her with her hand to touch the camera. That's smart for a four month old! Joanna was always amazing everyone including her pediatrician with how smart she was.
Joanna loved swinging in her swing. When her sister Sandra, nephew T.J. & nieces Aliyah and Jailei would come visit she would sit in her swing and just quietly watch everyone. She was very interested in what others were doing.
Some of her favorite things to do were play on her thick blanket on the living room floor, she would hold her fav. rattle and shake it back and forth as hard as she could, so she could hear it rattle. She loved to look at our living room ceiling fan as it turned round and round, she would squeal with delight when she first saw it in the mornings. She liked trying to reach for her Precious Moments Mobile, the cute baby animals hanging down. Joanna would smile at them. She also liked looking at and touching her crib lights and sound toy. She would watch the flashing lights and listen to the music, it would put her to sleep sometimes. Some late mornings I would put her in her bouncy seat in front of the screen door so that she could enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. I have a picture of her trying to touch a sunshine ray. I would hold her in my arms and walk around outside and show her the trees, bushes, the sky. I would let her touch a leaf, the side of our house the windchimes.
Every where we went people just had to touch her hair or just stare at her. They would all comment on how very beautiful she is or how big and pretty her eyes are or how unique her hair is. When she was born she had a head full of light brown hair with blond and very light red highlights that stood straight up. All the nurses wanted to hold her and care for her. They would argue who would be her nurse for the day. She was very special to everyone who saw her. Little did they know that they were looking at an Angel on earth who was soon to leave for Heaven.
My sweet precious Joanna, mommy and daddy love you so very much and we miss you with every fiber of our being.. You brought us such sweet happiness and we are so thankfull for every second we had with you. I love you my baby Angel Joanna. I will never ever forget you sweet baby. I thank God for the time I had with you.

God sent me an angel from heaven above
it's filled with complete unconditional love
it watches and follows wherever I go
if i'm happy or sad this little angel does know

My life at this moment seems filled with despair
but this littlest angel is always right there
it lifts up my spirits, gives me a reason to smile
come sit me an angel, let me hold you a while

It climbs upon my lap and wipes away all my tears
one lok in those eyes wipes away all my fears
for in those soft gentle eyes theres something I see
which speaks to me silently 'you always have me'

As those soft gentle kisses bring a smile to my face
and a love in my heart which can't be replaced
it continues to tell me in it's own special way
of how much it loves me as it begins to say

'At night I will cuddle by your side while you sleep
my life is to love you, this promise I keep
i'll wake you come morning with kisses galore
you'll giggle and laugh and ask me for more'

'When sadness you feel or life lets you down
i'll do whatever it takes to wipe off your frown
i'll show you some tricks, i'll bring you my toy
or rest my head in your lap, if this brings you joy'

'If sickness should keep you in bed for the day
i'll stay right beside you, we don't have to play
and if going for walks is something you do
i'll be your companion take me with you'

I'll try hard to show you my love is so strong
i'll try only to please you, i'll try not to do wrong
if a mistake I should make, then I ask this of you
remember that angels can make mistakes too'

'I'll ask not much of you, it's for love that I yearn
because loves what god taught me to give in return
it's all unconditional and comes straight from the heart
and my promise I give you till death do us part'

'So this is my story one I wanted to share
of my littlest angel who's always right there
this littlest angel that i'm so thankful of
yes this littlest angel of unconditional love'

x♥x...Love Always x x x
